Privacy and cookie policy
Zero7Files is designed so that your files never leave your computer. This page explains which data is processed when you use the site, who processes it and what you can do about it.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of zero7files.com is its owner, whom you can reach at zero7files@gmail.com for any privacy matter.
2. Your files are never uploaded
All Zero7Files tools (merging and splitting PDFs, Excel, CSV, JSON, image, ZIP and eBook converters, etc.) and the scientific calculator run entirely inside your browser with JavaScript. When you choose a file, it's read into your device's memory, processed there and the result downloads directly. The content, name and metadata of your files are never sent to our servers or to third parties, and we have no technical way of seeing them.
For the tools to work, your browser downloads some open-source libraries (such as pdf-lib, SheetJS or pdf.js) from public content-delivery networks (unpkg, jsDelivr and cdnjs). Those downloads are code, not your data.
3. Data that is processed
| Data | Purpose | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Chosen language (ES/EN) and calculator memory (variables, setup) | Remembering your preferences next time | Only in your browser (local storage). You can clear it in your browser settings. |
| Technical browsing data and advertising cookies | Showing Google AdSense ads and measuring their performance | Processed by Google, according to your consent (see section 4) |
| Your email address and what you write | Replying to your suggestions or questions | In our mailbox, only if you write to us |
We don't ask you to register, we have no user accounts and we don't sell data to anyone.
4. Ads, cookies and consent
The site is free and funded by Google AdSense ads shown in fixed spaces on the page. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads, cap how often you see one, detect fraud and measure results and, if you consent, to show personalised ads based on your interests.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, before using advertising cookies we show you Google's certified consent message (IAB TCF compliant), where you can accept, reject or choose specific purposes. If you reject, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for limited purposes such as measurement or fraud prevention.
You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings link, also in the footer of every page.
More about how Google uses this data: how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google's Privacy Policy and Google's ad settings.
5. Legal basis
- Advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Preferences stored in your browser: necessary to provide the service you request (remembering the language or the calculator's memory).
- Emails you send us: your consent when writing to us and our interest in replying.
6. International transfers
Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States, with the safeguards provided by the General Data Protection Regulation, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. Retention
Data in your browser stays until you delete it. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your query. Advertising cookie lifetimes are set by Google and listed in its policy.
8. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to zero7files@gmail.com. Since we don't keep your files or have accounts, we usually hold no personal data about you beyond any emails you send. For ad data you can also contact Google. If you believe your rights haven't been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.
9. Children
The site isn't aimed at children under 14 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will also be flagged on the home page.
